Western Union won't even cash their own checks and send you to your bank where you "may" face counterfeit checks and all the charges that are incurred from it. When WU won't even cash their own....happened to me several time.....I stopped accepting it.
When you use Wester Union from abroad it does not work this way. Every time I did it it worked like this: I put money in the bank (western union facility) and filled a form with my name adress and full name and address of the person that I wanted to send money to. When you give the money to the Western Union facility in your country it can be picked up by the person named in the form within 15 minutes. All this person has to do is to go to the nearest Western Union facility and show his ID (sometimes also tell a number that the money sender gets when he puts the money to the bank) and take the money. It 100% safe for the seller - he sends the knife when he already has cash in his hand. All he has to do is to go to the nearest Wester Union facility. It also very quick. The only bad thing about it is - it's not cheap for the buyer (about 30 $). I've done this several times and every time everyone was happy.
