Hey -- I'm all for opening the barn doors to any and all discussion regarding the various Sages!
...So let's get answers to that question on the Sage 1/Sage 2 actions -- plus any and all observations on this nifty series of knives!

Spyderco sage 1 rocks. I have this fear they might stop producing it, so over the last 2 years I kept buying them here and there. I am the proud owner of 5 of them new in the box plus one I edc. Love the sage 1 better than all the other safes. Just love the handle and lock on it. Also love the para2 and caly 3.5. You need to check those out as well. Trust me, you wont be disappointed. Amazing knives.
cburris -- I can relate, Brother! I had that fear realized with the SS Poliwog and Lava, and made sure to have mint condition back-ups of those blades in my collection. It's looking like the Sage 1 will fall into that category also.
