Odds...You play the odds when you enter a giveaway...And when there are two winners to be chosen out of just over 200 entries, your odds are just about 1 in 100 or one percent.
So, what are the odds that there would be some synchronicity in the result of a random drawing from amongst 200 entries? Surely after the fact it would be easy enough to find some.
But, what are the odds that the winning entries would come from two gentlemen who have a connection with a particular brand and knife pattern?
One of whom couldn't be happier with his...one of whom has just found out that his newly acquired love wasn't quite what he had hoped for.
What are the odds that the two winners would share a commonality of screen name? One residing just north of the Mason-Dixon line, one residing south?
Not being a statistician I haven't a clue but I am tickled to announce that the winners of the
Thanksgiving Giveaway are:
The "Smith" Brothers

Gentlemen, you may proceed at your leisure to Mike Latham's
collectorknives.net website and choose any knife of your liking up to $100.
Please contact Mike via his website to determine how he wishes you to proceed with the transaction once you have made your choice. Also, please share the knives you have chosen with us here on the forum afterward. (Images are certainly encouraged.)
Congratulations to you both and my thanks to Mike Latham for sharing the cost of the giveaway with me and to Gary (Peregrin) for his offer to ship overseas if necessary.
The winners were chosen at random via a random number generator at Random.org
Thanks to all for their participation in the giveaway and for helping to make these forums the special place it is.
