That aged look....brass patina (pics)

What do you think of this look....found a way to give the brass a aged and tarnished look... Makes the knife look like a something Granpa gave ya.

looks pretty good. If I was going to do that on one of mine, I think I'd be a little less aggressive on the blackening, though -- personal preference

So....why the secrecy? What did you use?

I found that my CAK at 1 month old has developed a good patina already. Brass oxidizes pretty quickly just with acids in your skin. Still I'm interested in what you used.

LOL! I used birchwood caset Super gun blue solution. Turns the Brass black. Then I just buffed it off until it look right. Sorry not trying to be Austin Powers man if mystery or anything.
