That Delica

Hey Harronek, how did you do the stone wash? I like the way it turned out, looks great!

The Delica 4 was the first real knife I got long ago and led me to this forum and a thin wallet. I think the wave on the Delica works better then the kershaw/emerson style wave. It also works for telling the police its a bottle opener not a fast deploy :p

I have stopped carrying my ffg blue delica. The clip broke, and I can't get anyone from Spyderco to respond on how to get a new one.

The knife is light and cuts well (though it did suffer from micro chipping until sharpened several times).

The lock Is not great. It has up and down play without any real use.

To me the Delica is the classic Spyderco knife. Another one is the Police, and I don't know which came first.
I bought a Delica not too long ago "just because". It is a nice knife, but I have a lot of nicer knives. I generally prefer G10 scales and something other than a lockback. I tried using the Delica as a second knife or backup knife, then my daughter took it away from me. Now I have a Dragonfly for the backup role and it is a little easier to carry in my pocket full of other things.

Send the knife back to Spyderco and have them fix the clip and blade play. Cost? $5 refundable.
