for years I roamed the internet wanting a real or close to real KEPHART knife ...
finally decided to have that guy , John at JK HANDMADE KNIVES ... MAKE ME ONE.
sent him some special wood gifted from a friend of mine to haft it up with ... some yellowish RED BUD TREE wood.
Had him grind me one out of his thicker carbon stock...
what I ended up getting was one of the finest bush / woods knives I own ...
fills my paw fine and it has held up to some actual abuse.
have to give it a number 2 or 3 spot in knives I carry into the woods.
I am really surprised how well the edge holds up to hacking on hard dry wood ...
he has turned out to be a nice man who offers a fine product.
actually thinking about one of his Nessmuk knives now ...
great man to deal with.
