that new sebenza...

I beat you to it, Scott Dog. My left handed order has been in since Monday of this week!!

:)

Uh, Oh - Maybe I have to call in to see if they wrote the order down after taking the information .....

Nobody said:
Yes, they were telling me at Blade that unlike the wood inlay Sebenza, they don't have to take out the micarta inserts to bead blast the knife during a refurb as the micart gets blasted too.

You can count me into that mix. I occasionally get blasted also.

I was looking on the site, but couldn't find this one listed or a way to order it. Can anyone link to it? I really NEED one of these ;) thx

Boink:

Cool. I bet they do ours at the same time. They seem to have been pretty sure that no left handers have been made yet.

They told me they would start shipping them this week or so i want a small baaaad! My Stars and Stripes is ready for a friend.

I'm really looking forward to this knife. It has tough EDC written all over it. It will also be my first classic version of the Sebenza. Heck if delivery time is anywhere close to what I was quoted, I'll be pretty pleased. A really cool left hand knife in less that 2 months? That's pretty quick in my book. Most decent custom makers can make me a great left hand knife, but the wait usually a year or better. I have some nice custom knives but none put it all together like the Sebenza does.

I like the idea that this is a serious work knife that you can put down on the bench and not think so much about what scratches might occur if the scales were purely ti or wood inserts. More rough and tumble and still looking good for most of the time.

This will be my first Sebenza, and the fact that it looks well suited to EDC really made it easier for me to make the decision. Life on the farm is not friendly for a pretty knife, and this knife should look okay with scratches and dings.

That's awesome! Best looking Classic I've ever seen.
Are they going to do regulars with micarta, too?

For price info I believe that they are very close to the price quoted on their website for the wood inlay classic.

OH BABY!!!!!!!! Check out TNK. The new micarta Sebs are in.

Me too Dave. I actually have the same one on order with the CR factory but with duel thumb studs! :) Being not a fan of serrations on a folder, I had to give this one a second look when I was told by Mike Young that the knife is sharpened the same way as a plain edge. This is because of the double sided grind. Sweet! It should make a fantastic EDC user.

I ordered my small on 5/31 and they said they were a couple weeks out.
Shouldn't be long now. :D

Just think guys, as beautiful as this knife is now, imagine the possibilities if CRK later offers additional colors of Micarta such as those used by Bob Dozier on his folding hunter models. I just can't picture that black will be the only color offered forever. Imagine an antique gold micarta with a similar color to the Box Elder. Wow, that would be beautiful Classic Sebenza.
