That time of the year

Well if you don't end up gettin a 5, I highly recommend a SOG Powerlock if you go for a multitool. I am gonna have to get me a second one. It's the ability to swing it open and access the pliers with one hand that has me sold the most. I just can't do that with my Leathermans, and it is a handy feature while working. Accessing the blade quickly is of no great importance, since I tote an ESEE along with it anyway.

In terms of needs...how you set for guns? A good Leatherman can be had for $50 (Supertool 300), but a rifle isn't so much.Asking around and getting the parts together for a good AR (or cash to buy whatever other MBR you happen to dig) may be better than expanding your blade collection. Your bases are really covered with those blades aside from maybe a machete and obviously a multi-tool. Hell, go to lowes and buy a SAK Cadet for like $25. Got most of the tools you need daily right there.

If you want a good multitool, I love my Leatherman Wave I & II. Leatherman makes great tools (the Juice series a little less so, but still nice).

A good water filter/purification system is nice, as well as a high quality camping pack, a nice folder, or a sharpening system. I do like the Spyderco Sharpmaker (and their folders).
