Saving boxes... the eternal question. All I know is, saving boxes guarantees the knife box collection will take up 3 to 5 times the space the knife collection takes up, with the added "benefit" of reminding your wife just HOW MANY KNIVES you have. Same goes for fountain pen boxes. Ask me how I know

I keep all knive boxes for some reason.

Of course I was joking, that’s one I wouldn’t throw away, but 90% of mine are pitched nowadays. I used to keep em all, but I like closet space more. I keep what I buy, unless I gift it..my friends and family are just happy to get a quality knife, never had one ask me “do you have the box?”

I gotta collect something right ?
I truly don't consider my knives a collection because I intend them for use and gift the ones I'm not using enough.

Btw I have found it saves space to store the boxes inside each other.

Like a Buck knives version of the Russian nesting dolls, but better because they're not stupid dolls.
