I think a lot of people already have EDC1 & 2’s and are saving their funds for next weeks FK2 sale.

Nathan provided a good explanation in the thread of the first EDC3 sales thread (there were many EDC2s made). I’d add that a lot of folks recently got on the UF preorder, many are looking to pick up an FK2 shortly, and then there’s the DEK1 in the wings.
There aren’t a lot of smaller CPK models (I’m hoping for the return of a skinner or potato knife myself). Don’t worry, it’s not a dud. You did good :thumbsup:

Ah so. So then if I take a crack at the FK2’s, I should be back down to at best my typical mid/upper 20’s place kind of finish. If I do and if there are 40 of them, I could conceivably score twice(?) in February(?). This could possibly end up being an expensive fixed blade month for me.

^^ If you saw what (to use Odog’s phrase) I “got lucky” with the last time I “got lucky”, you’d understand why I don’t use that phrase... Hint = “double coyote”.

Since this is Ask CS a Question thread, I guess anything goes in here as I'm the King of being inappropriate. I "moderate" this thread in the loosest form of the word, unless Nathan overrules my lack of decorum enforcement on here :D

My user name? It's kinda stupid for this Forum but I just used an old user name when I signed up in here a few years back because of my clear lack of imagination and utter laziness at that time of joining! At times, I debate with myself as to whether to do a name/handle do over on here or not?!

I never thought of it as inappropriate, more as interesting, like a pro gambler or something. I wouldn't change it. Mine's far worse lol

I chose burlap with the purpose to use plus I preferred the looks but then I found out that for me, they may not be as tough as the canvas micarta. This was just a user based observation which some folks may find to be helpful but not everyone is as moronic as me :rolleyes:

I also chose the burlap for several of my users due to looks and feel (I like the unbuffed), but this new info from you has me wondering if I chose poorly...
 
Nope sorry! Propriety stupidity ala a secret family sauce. Wasn’t caused by use whether rough or gentle, just silly tampering which most of you won’t be able to conjure up :p

PS. Just sanded it down the nicks down a bit, put mineral oil on ‘em and barely noticeable. Good to go and nothing else to see here ;)

Life in general Q is too complex because believe it or not, there are more proverbial parasites and arseholes among our own species as opposed to animals and plants! If you are a good human being, try to leave the place a bit tidier than how you found it and try to be useful and helpful before you check out. Simple :)

Bad things happen to good people for the same reason that good things happen to bad people, i.e, it's just random with no rhyme or reason. To put in a nutshell: sh*t happens.
