Interesting concept, but is it possible AND sustainable? Easy answer-maybe. Is it profitable? THAT is the $64,000 question!

Not too many weeks ago, I posed the same question over in the knife makers forum. One individual stated it could be done, and another tried it once in the exchange. (TBC)

Looks grim, but it is possible with a few restrictions. I can do the knife for the not-too-distant future, depending on materials costs.
The first thing that will be lost will be the sheath. For example, this;

Is the larger version of the small stiffhorn/city knife. This knife would be $100 without the sheath. Leather and all that entails is a pricey component of a package. I can provide a simple pocket sheath for this for $25, making the package price $125 (no I don’t make $25 sheaths for sale—only when buying the package of knife and sheath).
Taco style sheaths would be a few dollars more.
I’ll keep the costs as low as I can for as long as I can.
