The 100$ that are burning a hole in my pocket

If you need a bomb-proof folder, get a ZT 0200. I got mine for Christmas and I fell in love. It's the most comfortable folder I have ever held.

I'd say stick to the two choices you have in your first post. You will be very happy with any of those three knives. Both the BK2 and the Para 2 are highly regarded knives around here. So is the Buck Vantage Pro, other than the blade centering issues, although I haven't heard of many actually touching the liner. For $50 on Amazon, you can't do much better. I personally think you CAN'T do better, since the Vantage Pro large is my favorite carry knife out of about ten.

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't know if I should put my $70 Amazon cred toward the ParaMilitary and pay $30 in cash, or get two cheaper knives like the SOG Flash 1 or a Buck 301.

I have been looking at the BK2, but also the Kabar BK14 Eskabar and the Kabar Mark 1. I've seen reviews on here that those are like the BK2, but different sizes that may suit your needs better.

For me, if I didn't have a nice folder or fixed blade, I would spring for the Buck Vantage pro and the BK2. If you have both areas covered adequately, I would go for whichever you LIKE more. Both of your choices sound fantastic, but I only own the Buck.

I'd go with a Becker BK 2 and a Cold Steel medium Voyager and use what cash is left over to go towards a sharpening system of some sort.

I just got a Sage 2 (titanium s30v) and love it, you would need some more cash, but its worth it. I would say the Sage 1 would be a good choice, $85 right now, averages around $100, so a good deal right now. Also, check out the Stretch, I don't own it but it has always looked promising. The para 2 will be my next knife I hope.

I had the exact same problem, $100 to spend on Amazon.com with a gift cert. So tonight I ordered a Buck Vantage Avid (like the wood scales) and a Kershaw Blur S30V. Total came out to a bit more ($13 more I think) but both seem to be great knives. Alternatively you could do the Buck Vantage Pro in S30V and the all-black Kershaw Blur and it would come out to exactly $100 I think.
