The 20 Best Knives You Ever Owned

Title says it, list the 20 best knives you've ever owned. There is no criteria except #1 has to be your absolute favorite/best knife of all time. Pictures are recommended.

My #1 is an easy call, but the some of the rest might be different tomorrow since I will EDC something new that I really like until I switch just to change things up. But anyway...

#1 - Gene Ingram #1 B&T. Appropriately named. I have a half dozen of these but tend to grab this burgundy micarta one when hunting. It has taken apart dozens and dozens and dozens of animals.

If I took the title literally ... half of my list might be CPKs. If the question is more what 20 knives we would pick if we had to choose ...

CPK EDC 1.2
CPK DEK 1
CPK HDFK
CPK MC
Deer Rock B&T
Deer Rock Skinner Dan
Horsewright Coyote
REK Ember 3.5
JJ Smith Hunter
Robert Erickson Honesuki
J Hoffman Wicklow
Stuart Davenport Boning/Fillet
Becker BK5

See a pattern here? Folders don't even come to mind until way down here. And a SAK Farmer doesn't count here because we can consider them in multitools right? ... I mean RIGHT?

CRK Large Micarta Sebenza 21 Insingo
CRK Small Micarta Sebenza 21 Insingo
Spyderco Native 5 ..... (please hurry up and release the Cruwear/micarta version!)*
Spyderco Manix II
Spyderco Delica
GEC 93 Waynorth Lambsfoot
GEC 39 Bunny Knife (the 2022 BF knife)

There are several others that I would definitely miss if I was forced to limit it to 20, but today I'm ok with this group.

I may not have owned more than twenty knives . . .ever.

Cub Scout folder
Boy Scout Folder
Olsen
Pilots Survival knife
SAK (a couple)
Buck 110/112 (several)
Leathermqan original
Leatherman Wave (Several)

Well, maybe I have actually owned twenty or more knives, but never all at once. I can't say with were the twenty best though.

I guess I liked the Olsen enough to buy anointed one off e-Bay out of nostalgia when I turned 65.. I was never enamored with the Buck lock-backs, they were just tools to me like a hammer.. I did like the hefty brutality of the Air Force Survival knife, but I was a sub-adult teen at the time.

My all time favorite has been and continues to be the current Leatherman Wave Plus. It is my EDC whenever I put on my pants along with wallet and keys.
