This 26 inch Ang Khola arrived yesterday afternoon. It was made by Sanu who felt that 4 KG was too heavy and scaled it down to 3/4 to 13/16 inch thick from the 7/8 requested. I actually wanted Sher to make this khukuri becaue I knew that he'd be pleased to make a 4KG khukuri but he had to go back to the farm for awhile to do some work there. He will inherit the farm so he has a vested interest.
Anyway, the knife maxed out my 5 pound limit scales and I estimate it at 5.5 to 6 pounds -- maybe that will be enough for the fellow who ordered it. The karda and chakma for this model are nine inches and more than 1/4 inch thick. The effort is a 10/10 by Sanu and I don't think I'll ever see this knife again but just in case the customer is set on the 4 KG version stay tuned. This one may be up for sale.

Uncle Bill, you must have had me in mind when you ordered that. Where is my Tylenol?

Me and my sword fetish. I definitely want to know if this goes on the auction block. And I can join Rusty in a good round of "chiropractic" callestenics!

Reminds a person of that line in 'Crocodile Dundee'...

Way cool, Bill. But I'd have difficulties lifting the karda...

I think I could find room for this one under my bed.

I really think that this one falls into the catagory of sharpened pry-bar. If it comes back I'll bid on it.

I wouldlike to see the guy who ordered that monster-knife. Is he ten feet tall or what?

Bill, about how long is the handle (buttcap to end of bolster)? It looks about what I want for the 25 incher I'll be ordering in Feb.

Uncle,

Any other cool stuff come in?

I'm definately interested in the 26 incher if the customer backs out.
