About two years ago Simon and Lisa Thomas, traveling around the world on their BMW bikes, stayed with us for a few days. Since then we’ve kept in contact with them. They are in the North America now.

Recently they started posting videos on Youtube. The South American Leg video shows where Simon broke his neck in the Amazon (w/ x-rays). Their adventure is worth following. Check it out. Mac
 
Wow other than the broken neck, what a trip.
 
That shot of Simon on the ground looking like a corpse was taken after Lisa got him back up on the road. He was crossing that bridge and the bike slipped off. After he came to they ended up in a local hut with a family and he rewired the melted main electrical system of his bike with his leatherman.

We are hoping to get together with them in the fall, they will be on the east coast. Mac
