The Adventures of Pearl !!! Host list post's #22 and #23

R8shell, Cambertree, BigBiscuit and myself have been working on second traveling knife project similar to "Earl. We have been working on a knife for this project and it is a very special Case Medium Stockman that will receive a "Make Over" courtesy of R8shell before "The Porch Pearl" starts her adventures. This will be another picture thread featuring the knife in various locations in each host city, town, community and so on. Earl almost immediately took off over seas so we would like to see this knife spend some time in the USA before going out of the country, however if you live outside the USA please go ahead and sign up to host Pearl. We also need to have a list of folks interested in hosting the knife so if you would like to host the knife, take some pictures of it in different locations around where you live then post them here simply post your desire to host the knife in this thread.

We almost lost Earl a couple of times so we decided on having a couple easy rules for hosting:
1.) You have to have been a member for at least 6 months with a minimum of 100 post on the porch.
2.) You have to agree to take the pictures, post them here and ship the knife to the next person on the list within three weeks from the time you receive it.

At the end of this knife's travels we will have a GAW for all the host's plus the 4 of us that started this thread and the winner will receive "Pearl" as their prize. We are also would like to have one of our moderators select the winner for integrity.

I can't wait to see the pictures you folks post so let's have some fun and get this started I hope everyone enjoys this thread.

Great idea guys (been looking forward to this one) :) We did lose Earl didn't we?! :eek: :( I'd also like to see Pearl hike round the USA before she travels overseas, but put me down for a visit when the time comes. Hopefully Pearl will travel more freely than Earl did, and not have his 'legal issues'! :eek: :D :thumbsup:

 
I'm absolutely in to show Pearl the by ways of SELA as well as the mystique of New Orleans! I mean, 2018 is the 300th anniversary of the New Orleans after all!
 
I would love to have Pearl come to visit me in late February or early March, and I could show her how to make maple syrup in northwestern Pennsylvania!

Earl's travels (rogue that he was) were one of my all time favourite Porch threads!

I can't wait to see Pearl in her new clothes, out and about in Austin Texas, then up into the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina, with Randy.

Once Pearl's had the trip of a lifetime around the US, I'll be looking forward to hosting her down here in Oz!
 
Pearl would be welcome to come visit south Louisiana here also! We going to Disney in December too! Don’t worry, I wouldn’t chance a park but there’s lots if other stuff to see.

Count me in!
 
Here's a bit of a teaser of some of @r8shell's previous 'practice' scrimshaw work, on a RR Stockman, which has already garnered a bit of fame as an iconic Porch knife.:cool:;)

It's currently doing the rounds in mrknife's never ending GAW box.

This was probably my favorite knife in the box, and it was a difficult decision not to keep it in my possession forever. But, I figured that there were probably many more porch members who would appreciate this little piece of artwork, dedicated to our favorite place on the internet!

oh man, what id give to be sitting on one of thoes porches with you guys! im not very vocal on here but ive been here a while id love to show pearl around the coast of Maine! maybe even take her out to a proper lobster dinner! someone would have to help me post pictures tho....still havnt figured that out since the changeover. anyway i look foreward to watching this happed.

Yeah, it'd be great to be able to do a little loafin' and jawin' on a real Porch with all the fine folk here!:)

I'd be fascinated to see some more of Maine's historic coastline and towns. It looks like you qualify under the rules posted above, so why not take a look at some of these helpful threads on posting pictures. I think most people are uploading them directly (using free image resizers - just google to find one), or using a photo hosting site like imgur.

Sounds like fun! I never got to meet Earl, but I thoroughly enjoyed following his travels and seeing all of the photos everyone shared with Earl. I'd be happy to take part and get a chance to show Pearl around this part of Arizona. Count me in!
