well this is a new problem for me.I am building my 6th forge this one has to be versatile yet efficient. focus on forge welding have a new 40 ton forge press and want to put it to good use. thinking of a vertical forge but don't know the pro's and con's. noticed my foundry gets fairly damn hot above the burner so thought it might be a good idea. i'm new to vertical forge operation and techniques. so is it better to stay with horizontal or relearn forge welding. any opinions would be of great help
