Hey out there all my fellow forumites! I have been on quite the hiatus lately, due to a lot of things in my personal life changing. I haven't had much time to get on here, but now that I've gotten myself settled in, I would like to show my appreciation to not only the members, but the forum as well. You guys are awesome, this place is filled with absolutely wonderful people, and a genuine wealth of knowledge.
Anyway, so I've moved, gotten out of a long term relationship that was draining me both physically and mentally, and started working at a new company. Needless to say, the changes have left my head spinning! I'm glad things are finally falling into place, and I can relax some. Now, on to the good stuff.
I put this in the general discussion forum, because I did not want it to be a specifically traditional giveaway. Although the knife up for grabs is a traditional, I thought maybe there were some folks out there that might like to at least try something different.

That's it! I chose to make it a very general giveaway, because I could never even attempt to pin down where I have received all the generosity the forum has blessed me with. I have truly met some awesome people here, with huge hearts. Since I have been all over the forums, I wanted anyone who wanted to a chance to enter.
I will use a random online number generator to select the winner, and will notify that person via PM. I will also notify the rest of the group via this post.
The drawing will take place on Saturday, January 7th at 8pm CST.
I have here a well loved, well used, GEC 73 in Cocobolo wood. I have used this for a variety of tasks, and the love definitely shows. It has been sharpened, and is currently sharp. I let the patina form naturally, over time, and I think it came out beautifully. I really prefer the natural patina look over forced, so I took the time and let it develop on its own. The scales are in very good condition, with the exception of the "wear and tear" signs of use. I don't claim this to be a safe queen, she's a user. I decided to give this knife away, because I would like someone to put it to loving use the way I have. Blade sits ever so slightly off center, with no rub. Snaps hard into all three positions, and I would estimate the pull to be mid range.
I will also throw in a special little gift to the winner. So, just a little something else to look forward to. Pictures below, and good luck to everyone. I hope I did all this correctly, as it's my first attempt at a giveaway post! May the luckiest man win!
Thank you guys for everything you do, for being who you are, and for supporting this great community. It truly feels like a second family.
