Thank's for all the congratulations. It's been a long haul, and a heck of a party. Some bumps along the way, especially when the better half has genes from the other side of the Rio Grande. But I do have to admit that I've deserved the temper most of the time. As I told texasboy at lunch the other day, I even managed to get the Thanksgiving turkey thrown at me once. Karen is a gem I wouldn't trade for all the tea in China, and I love tea. I just thank the good Lord above that I had the common sense to grab the perfect girl when he put her right there in front of me. God only knows how she's put up wth me for all this time.
Mink, I didn't marry up as much as Karen married down. A fact that my mother-in-law to be, couldn't shake for many years. Karen came from a home much higher on the social register than some Irish immigrant watermen on Maryland's Eastern shore. But my father-in-law was the absolute best FIL a guy could have. One heck of a shot with a .22 to boot. His roots were down by Brantley county, Georga farm country.
Thank's again to all you guys!!!
Carl.
