Good choice. I have been sot in the back for putting UC and Busse in the same thread. I deserved it;) :D I am going to try to get in on this deal. I will just have to sell some INFI that is laying around because I really thing that these would make a good pair. One to shine one to beat the hell out of.

Can anyone else picture Jerry sitting in his office laughing and rubbing his hands together thinking about making us DC survivors wait to find out about the discount? You are a sick sadistic man Jerry!

I remember the night of the death chat. I even made a couple of posts. I didn't know there was going to be a discount on anything or I would have stuck around.

You know it's going to be a nightmare trying to sort through the orders. This many satins this many deserts, this many death chat discounts. I know we all give Jerry a hard time, and we do spend a fair amount of money, but he doesn't have to always go to all the trouble he does to make us all happy. Good thing he is a sick bastid and doesn't mind the pain;) :D

C'mon Jerry. Support the future of medical care and let me order my two early. Nobody will know. Just me and you and everyone on the forums. What is that like 6 or 7 nerdy guys?:p :D :D :D No more caffiene for me. I'm going crazy:eek: :footinmou

i think this game will have an opening bid of six or more:eek:

the DC guys are supposed to get a 1/2 hour head start on the rest of the crew.

unless you're west of the sippi then you get an extra 15 plus the 1/2... i guess that makes it 3 quarts:confused:

i'm going the take a bath and a gin martini straight up...
shaken not stirred... brb

6 or 7 nerdy guys with a penchant for nuclear tough knives, glocks, and similar tools in that vein. . .

We are the über-nerds. Top of the food chain.

I am a proud GLOCK owner and user. I was just picking at you guys!
I may be the nerdest nerd that ever nerded. They know me by name at radio shack and within reach of my computer I have 3 Busse knives, 2 bucks, 5 Benchmades an ATC hawk, about 50 bucks worth of batteries, a multimeter, several feet of USB and CAT 5 ethernet cable, 5 flashlights, 2 hand held radios, 300 blank CD's a Gameboy advance, 2 tool boxes full of small hand tools and a bunch of Star trek micro machines and hot wheels cars:D :D and that's not even half of it.:D :p :D So what if we are a little "particular" about are stuff. I bet we can all shoot straight, cut lots of stuff and knock over ANY old feeble lady that messes with us:eek: :D :D NERDS UNITE! ok, I off to sleepy land. see you guys tomorrow at the trough!:footinmou :D

I think I'm going to order one.

I've been wanting to upgrade my "camping knife" for this year anyway. I don't like my Entrek Companion that much. Too thick and heavy.

I was eyeing the anorexic badger. Then I decided I'd go with the Dozier Pro Guide's knife. Then I decided I'd just make do another year with the Entrek....

But I really like this knife. I'll have to admit though, I'm afraid it's going to be too nice (pretty), and too expensive, and too rare to really USE.

naaaaa, go ahead, follow your heart, buy one or better yet buy two!!
we all use our busse's
no safe queens around this forum
we beat the snot out of everything we buy!
ok, ok ok, buy three... use two of them and hold one back for a keeper...
kinda like social security only better looking!

Too pretty to use?!? Nononononono.....

Is there a performance car too fast to drive? A cheerleader too pretty to date?

Come on man! If you bought a Porsche would you park it in the garage and just wash it and change the oil? Or would you drive it like it was meant to be driven. Performance tools are meant to be pushed to the extremes of their intended use range. And Busse's (no matter how pretty) are performance tools. Hell man. Even user Busses command more than their original price on the secondary market after a model has been discontinued. And if you want to keep it and need to have it spruced up now and then to keep it "pretty"... send it to the shop. Jerry'll hook you up.

The bottom line is that Busses are users. What good is that waranty if you never test it out?

In a sort of unrelated note, I've been using my Bandicoot a little more lately. I wasn't terribly impressed at first, and it was relegated to the "emergency" bag of my GF's Rover.

I pulled it out a few weeks ago to re-evaluate as my "camping" (not "camp") knife instead of the Entrek Companion.

That didn't work out, but it has found a place as my "working around the yard on weekends" knife. ~4" - ~4.5" is a good "working knife" length for me.

At first I really thought about not using some of my Busses. Then it was at that point I realized "I'll never want to sell em anyway, and Jerry will replace em eventually anyway."

I used to be shocked when guys would talk about using their A2 Steel Hearts, but now I'm starting to warm up to the idea. I mean, I wouldn't sell mine if I had one without much need, and I'd rather enjoy it than just look at it.

If I wanted a pretty knife to just look at, I'd print the pictures from badmojo.tv and paste em on my wall.

As it stands . . . all my Busses will taste some hard use. :)

I'm just curious, if they are the same thickness as the standard BA3 what makes them anorexic badgers?

They are the same thickness as the Active Duty, not the regular Badger.
