The anticipation is killing me

While you're waiting why not start researching/shopping for your next knives? You know that's what's gonna happen once the honeymoon's over after you get your new knives. Why sit in boredom while putting off the inevitable?

Try and take out your other knives to play with or just handle and say hello to some old friends before the new batch arrives. I find that helps with the anticipation and actually helps curb the urge to compulsively buy more. I am actively trying to discover the areas to enjoy my knives. Sharpening is still a difficult art to master for me, and all the scratches add character, but some I have hesitated selling here because of that reason.

Enjoy the anticipation. It makes their arrival that much better. Anticipation is like constipation, you get through it you will have a smile on your face.

I can only fondle my AFO and mini grip so much before I wish I had more. The one that's really killing me is the black Griptillian that I ordered because the mini grip is so good that I feel like I need more

I tend to binge-watch youtube reviews about whatever knife I've got on the way. Most recently it was the mini tuff lite. Before that, the ladybug. Before that...

I'm realizing why even if you can afford it, you don't order more than one knife at a time. I have a Spyderco Delica, a Victorinox Tinker, and a custom Griptillian in all black with an M4 blade. Other than blowing my entire knife fund which is fine, the anticipation for all of them is killing me. I ordered the Griptillian directly from Benchmade's custom shop, the Tinker from Victorinox's website and the Delica is from Blade HQ. I have no idea which one's coming in first because I only got basic shipping on all of them. Any ideas how to deal with the anticipation?

To make you feel a bit better,,, You are not alone

Perhaps, you should have paid extra for faster shipping on a portion of the knives.

I understand anticipation. No big thing. It's fun. Don't you love Fedex smartpost.... item ships very quickly to your town, and then takes two days to get from the USPS to your door. :D

Go do something you like to do. Go on a hike. ...etc.

The Delica came in today. I'm already loving it!

A smooth river rock can sharpen your SAK, okay not razor sharp but if you are out and about and discover your edge is totally wasted, you can get a usable edge using any smooth stone.

I think I'll send my blades in to get them sharpened until I can sharpen a knife to the point where I can cleanly slice paper

I stumbled on this thread. Still waiting on BM to finish my order from last Friday and then it's on to next day Air. I have a problem checking my email 300 times a day waiting for a shipping # so I can stalk my knife from a distance, like that's going to make UPS move any faster. I NEED HELP!!

Do something you've been procrastinating on
Buy dollar store knives and practice grinding
Go run/bike/ski/cardio
Cook yourself something nice using your other knives to prep the food
