The "Ask Jo (NinJO) Thread"

Hey Jo the Machinist Jo the Machinist
Hope all is well. Noticed we haven't seen much of you lately. Can't imagine it's for a lack of things to do.

Actual question - and big, round numbers are fine here - any gage on when handles for the DEK1 may start shipping? Months, weeks, or days? Jonesing for the ECAM scales I have on order.

I know this is about one million on your priority list, but curiosity is getting the best of me.

Thanks,

Turns out virtual school with 2 kids on the Autism Spectrum eats into your surfing time. ;)
I would say maybe a month on the scales. I think we are going to get rolling on those soon. Thanks!

First off, why was this thread buried in the middle of the 3rd page of this sub? I know that the NinJo is far too busy to be trifled with but she's the nuclei of The whole CPK atom which keeps those wandering electrons (Nathan, Mark & Bo) in their respective orbits

Now that homage has been duly paid, here are some questions for the mighty NinJo:

- Has Nathan made good on building you the exclusive competition course which he had promised you on your new property?

- How are you keeping up your competitive edge and killer instincts during this shyteshow year so that hopefully you will go on a tear in the upcoming year if & when things go back to a semblance of normalcy?

- Have you considered adding throwing axes and hatchets to your competitive repertoire, so that Nathan can finally acquire your permission where your John Hancock will be essential to the CPK-AX project?

The last question was asked on behalf of a very close and shy friend :D

"Nucleus", otherwise we are talking about a molecule instead of an atom...

You are right Mat, this year has been a shyteshow and it's probably good we didn't compete. Between the moves and the kids trying to learn from home, I have been quite busy.

We have not had a chance to make new tables, but I do have the original three that I made. I was practicing late spring last year until it became obvious that the season was going to be cancelled. Unfortunately, I have not really had time to catch my breath since then. Things do seem to be finding a new groove and hopefully, I will be able to get back into the swing of things this coming spring.

I think throwing axes would be a fun hobby, but I don't know that it is something I will take on with the intention of competing, but one never knows. :)

Good Evening Jo: I was going to ask the same ETA question about my pre order DEK more out of curiosity than anything else. But I can see you're busy with a lot more important things so you don't even have to bother to reply. I know you folks will get to it at some point, when you do, it will show up. In the meantime, concentrate on what you have to do and try to come up for air once in a while. God Bless and may you have an easier path to follow.

I ordered mine with the swedge, penetrator tip, and mystery wood. How did you order your DEK1?

I don't know for sure. We are trying to ramp up sharpening and shipping. The DEK1s with additional finishes will take longer. Thanks! Jo
