Jo, I saw your post that the DEK1's in D3V were gone. Are there any in Magnacut left to sell?
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
I could at least do it with retired patterns. Active patterns I kind of need to save some scales for the blades...![]()
Yes, there are.Jo, I saw your post that the DEK1's in D3V were gone. Are there any in Magnacut left to sell?
Hard to say. We've already ran those twice and Nathan doesn't like to repeat any particular model too many times. If we do it again it'll be in a couple years probably.Hi Jo, will CPK still be producing DEK 1’s in D3V for future production?
There are for the DEK1. I'm pretty sure we're all out for the fk2 but I can look later when I'm out in the shop.Hi Jo, are there any sheaths available with a belt loop for the DEK 1 or the FK2 please?
Thank you Jo, I'll buy one of each if so please. There are for the DEK1. I'm pretty sure we're all out for the fk2 but I can look later when I'm out in the shop.
Jo, you’re getting strong! I’m bending 3/32 Allen wrenches trying to get some DEK scales off. Haven’t had this much trouble removing scales before.
What’s the call here? Some hair dryer heat to soften the blue loctite first? And start on the right hand side, correct?
Thx…funny you mention that. Was just digging thru boxes trying to find my soldering pen the movers have successfully hidden from me after multiple moves. ArghSome have used the soldering pens with luck (directing the heat to that specific area as opposed to waiting for the whole knife to heat up with a hair dryer).
I've been down this rabbit hole a few times and it's no fun... Also consider replacing the standard hex screws with Ti torx screws (if you haven't already). They're nice in that it's much more difficult to strip in trying situations like this.
