Not yet. There is still sword stuff and DEK1 on the horizontal so I'm just profiling right now but once the big Mori opens up I'll start beveling. Maybe by the end of next week. I'm going to attempt a bi-bevel to reduce binding while splitting wood. This will approximate the geometry and duplicate the functionality of the original in ways that most reproductions don't, but it will be my first time attempting that kind of geometry. We'll see.

Good luck. I think we’re all very excited to see what you come up with. Is this your first build based off a classic pattern? I guess there’s the integral dagger.

I'm not sure I understand what is a bi-bevel. Does it means the knife is thicker in the middle of the primary grind than on the spine?

Ever thought about making a “tactical tomahawk “ Rmj, probably a he industry leader - makes some great ones , shrike , Jenny wren , kestrel ..... their Jenny wrens is kinda the do all design.

I think it would be interesting for a CPK hawk against theirs in toe to toe testing.

#notnathan but most home DIY for stabilizing is pretty janky. Best if you go with a pro... like K and G. They are the best and do small batches for guys like you and me.
