If you have the skill/ability to hand sharpen, my favorite sharpening tool is a DMT Diafold Duo Coarse/Fine. I've used the Coarse side to quickly reprofile VERY dull blades, and the Coarse would work well for reprofiling a chipped edge.If someone wanted to make field sharpening boards with sand paper to be used on CPK knives, what grit succession would you recommend to get a chipped blade back to not noticing the chip was there? And how do you feel about micro mesh for the same application?
Thank y’all for your time!
The Fine side will get the edge shaving sharp (and I like that it's a slightly/microscopically toothy edge. Works better for all-around use). Folds up small (~5"x1.2"x3/8") and light (~2oz).
