Hey, I just very enthusiastically opened up my latest knife purchase. I'm very excited about this knife and it may very well become my every day carry. It's an awesome tactical folder that hardly anybody even knows about. It's the TacOps Falcon by TSSI (Tactical and Survival Specialties, Inc.). It's a tactical folder that comes in both clip point and tanto blade styles (I chose the Tanto) with a 3" 13C26 Sandvik steel stonewashed blade, anodized aluminum handle, stainless fittings, liner locker with a carbide glass breaker tip. It's made with ambidextrous thumbstuds and comes with two ambi pocket clips (one of which you'll want to remove). The coolest thing about this knife is that it was jointly designed by Chris Reeve and Bill Harsey which you all know are well known knife designers and was made for TSSI in Italy. I'm psyched about this knife. It came in a cool padded plastic case and seems to be razor sharp. The craziest thing about this knife is that there is so little info about it on the 'net. So I'm going to show it off and give it some of the publicity that I think it deserves. So far I love the thing and the only thing that could've made it better is if TSSI had numbered like the first 100 or 500 of them. I also love the stonewashed blade. I wish more manufacturers would do this because it allows you to use the knife without fear of scratching it up. The knife feels very solid but is lightweight. I currently don't have a tiny allen wrench on me to remove the pocket clip that I don't want but it looks like the knife will still be just a little on the thick/wide side. Check out the pics!...

Wasn't this featured in Tactical Knives a while back? I like that case and the handle looks pretty good; what'd it run and where'd you get it?

Yes it was in Tactical Knives and the crazy thing is that there currently is only ONE place to get it. Directly from them (TSSI). I tried to order it two days in a row and their website had problems (site kept saying that they couldn't charge my credit card) so on the third attempt I ordered it over the phone. MSRP is $145 but they had it on sale or something so I got it for $131.

More pics showing the complete package including the allen wrenches and extra pocket clip. I also took pics comparing it to my Benchmade 912SBKD2 Nitrous Stryker and Benchmade CQC7...

A quick internet search finds only one website selling it and they only have a small picture and no specs. Not a very enthusiastic sales effort.

How long have you been affiliated with the company?
I was afraid someone would think that. Dude, these pictures were taken on my kitchen table after opening it in a package from UPS. And I'm a good amateur photographer with pro equipment who loves taking pictures of knives (and beers). It's just that no one really does know about it and I think it's a rad knife. I'm trying to let my knife loving brothers know about it just like I'd want you to do for me and the rest of us. If you buy an awesome knife, post pics of it so maybe I'll get one.

The funny thing is, what trowand just did is what Sharp Phil routinely does -- post reviews of knives he tries out.

I think if we have to suspect people of shilling or spamming, the report should be to the moderators, not in open forum to disrupt the discussion and embitter the participants.

We had a saying, "Criticize in private, praise in public."

Meanwhile, I'm going to move this from The Gallery to Knife Reviews & Testing.

Hey if you want to completely delete this thread or merge it with my review it's cool with me because now I have two seperate threads on this knife in the same place and I look like a douche. Please feel free to delete or merge if you want.
