The Axe Fad in a Nutshell!

Besides, if anyone saves a good pice of steel from being melted, even if it stays pretty om their wall for the next 30 years, it's still a win in my book :).

Absolutely! That way there will be something for my grandson to find after my daughter ebay's off all my axes. :D

I just sas sanded a half for a Kelly perfect jersey outside under the light of a 60 year old Coleman milspec labru lantern. That adds like $50 to the price right? Making hipster tools with hipster tools.

only if you did it in B'klyn.

You know, something similar crossed my mind! :D Yet there's still the possibility the Ebay'd ones will go on to be users. ;)

That cartoon is hilarious. There are buddies who would definitely enjoy seeing it. You can just bet that they won't show it to their wives though !

One 'test' for me as to whether a knife or other edged tool is a 'user' or a 'collector' is if I'd be willing to put it to hard-core use without a second thought now. Moras, of course, fit this category. - - I have knives that have just accidentally become 'collectors'. They were bought with the intention that I'd use them. They stopped making them & their price has gone up a lot. Now, I don't want to use them and have their value take a hit. I should probably move those down the road.

I went outside to prep some wood for a fire today, I scratched my head and took a moment to decide what axe I wanted to use. I have more than I could ever need. And not as many as I want. And I would not have it any other way.
