The AXIS lock is spoiling me for other locking mechanisms

I just grabbed a gent as well and that little guy packs a nice sharp blade alright! While its not an axis lock it is a pretty sweet and lightweight titanium gentlemans carry w s35vn and a nice blade profile. The fall shut bearing pivot can definitely drop the blade very quickly . Im like the knife enough that I had a set of od green custom micarta scales made for it. not sure how to post pictures thou?

Agree, it's a great system, I hear tales of the omega springs breaking, knock on my noggin it hasn't happened with any that I've owned, otherwise a solid system.

I do find that when I use other knives and then pick up an axis lock, I do try to release the liner lock and wonder why it doesn't move ;) ...silly look on my face...

I have heard that also but havent had any issues with any of my axis locks. I watched a 10 year ownership video review of a guy with a 940 that had to finally have the blade replaced from sharpening wear over the years but still had the original omegas From What i recall. Also ive read even if one of the 2 breaks it will still work with the one omega sprIng. I believe the axis lock is pretty reliable overall and my fav.

Yeah if one omega breaks the other will still lockup, you will loose a lot of detent in the closed position though.
