Good Day,

Well, an image is worth a thousand words.

mdp-worker2000.jpg

And two more words, Thank You. Any more than that would be too many.

Here is the thread that was the birthplace of the Worker 2000.

I hope it's a user, because it sure ain't a looker.

But that's just my opinion, and you know what they say about those....

Glad you got it, MDP. Review....?

Now, I really must say, that is one SERIOUS looking splinter picker.

And thank you, MDP, for sending it my way "on loan"! My scanner doesn't quite do justice to the needle point on that thing. Thin! An ice pick it ain't, but it may be the ultimate tactical splinterpicker.

Well, there you go. Proof that if you whine enough, you get what you want.

Sal, I want a Porsche with the big spydie logo on the hood. I'll even let you choose the color. I'm easy to please.

I must say, I like it. I didn't think I would reading through your posts, but I do like it. I would probably buy one, if they were available.

Congratulations MDP! Now I want one! I thought it was a good idea from the beginning. Maybe it will see production, but considering the SKU debate I won't hold my breath.

I always thought the Worker was one knife I would never contemplate buying. In pictures it just looks so, well, ugly
redface.gif
. Then yesterday, one came into my possession and I got a real surprise. In the "flesh" (not mine yet
wink.gif
) it is a much more attractive knife and the blade shape looks to be very useful as a "gentle man's folder". It might even find its way into my pocket today in place of my BF Native!

All the above is a long winded way of saying that I now think the "Worker 2000" is a goer, well done David

Take care,

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow....in Australia it's tomorrow already.

WOW! I'll just hope that the Worker 2000 goes into actual production. I'd be at the front door of a knife store on the day they're released. Way to go Sal, MDP, etc.!

The top edge is sharpened, at an axe-edge sort of bevel, with no secondary edge bevel. And that point is thin! It's a hand-modified specimen. The standard Worker's point is a bit more robust.

Wow. Way to go MDP. My original Worker was retired years ago when I gravitated towards plain edges and lighter scales. Robust but a bit on the heavy side for its size IMO. I' d like a 2000 if they go into production. Next vote...

Well, thank you for the kind words, and more than anything I am glad to be able to share this with all you.

Sal said that due to the SKU issue the Worker 2000 will probably not make model status. And after Sal explained the SKU issue in greater detail I understand. They are up against quite a thing.

But, I am not sad.

The Lum Chinese is coming, the Martial is on it's way.

They are making Pink Delicas and plain Goddards, buy one of those now if you like them, because then we will be showing our support with the voice that counts in the end our dollar and loyalty.

We have an almost full set of kitchen knives now. WOW.

Thank you all for being here, sharing all that you do.

Thank you Spyderco, Sal and Eric, Danelle and the rest of the Spydie crew. Our presence here says one thing, that you are doing a good job, nay an excellent job.

Integrity is being good when no one is watching. You know it. And your work shows it.

Spyderco`s commitment to customer service never fails to impress and amaze me. It`s almost beyond belief.

I guess that`s why they have our dog-like devotion to their stuff. It`s a pleasure doing business with folks in Golden!
