The BAD RATTITUDE Is Coming Sunday, July 10, 2022 At 9:00 pm Eastern

I'm still wondering what to use to pick up a patina like this...

Bind said knife in paper towel's. Then splash a little balsamic vinegar into the fray. Place it upon the still for half an hour or so. She run's about 190" in the kettle. Remove everything, wipe her down. Inspect for rust, rub the grease of my defeated foe's in the problem area's. Use her to slice meat for meal prep Sunday. Rinse, lather, repeat. Alway's lather...

Thanks. I don't have a still, how critical is the heat? I could boil some water and suspend it over the pot or maybe put the knife with paper towels and vinegar in a freezer bag and submerge it for heat without the humidity? What if I just leave it in my car, that's probably 130° or more?

Will the vinegar discolor the micarta?

How much rust did your process create?

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to go in with an understanding of the process and to make sure I don't get anything bad like rust under the scales.

My advise is, just use it. It will patina. I visualize a car someone has tried to make look like an aged barn find. It rarely turns out.
