Okay, we have all talked about movie knives and our favorites, but what about the man (or woman) who uses it? Feel to answer one or all, at the end I will leave my personal choices. If you haven't seen these movies . .there are some spoilers in there so don't get made at me.

1) Who's the Badest MOFO to ever hold a knife!? (list both Bad Guy and Good Guy)

2) Who has the best scene with a knife in use? (Fighting)

3) Best use of a knife in a scene? (utility)

4) Best Death scene? (not that we here at blade forums encourage this behavior, entertainment only)

5) The coolest overall scene with a knife?

6) Most intense scene with a knife.

Okay now for my choices. I tried not to rack my brain too hard over these, and I know I may get some flak for my choices, but it's all in good fun.

1) I'd have to say Riddick from Pitch Black and Chronicles. Why? Well First off he is both a bad guy and a good guy at the same time. Out for himself yet forced to save others. He is one of the coolest character created in recent years. One of the coolest things about him is the fact that he lives in the future where there are 'ray guns' vicious alien creatures and humans with supernatural powers and of all things what is his weapon of choice . .that's right a blade. That's a BADASS for ya. Plus he can see in the dark! Too bad most of the knives they had him use were fantasy crap knives used for visual flair.

2)Man ooo Man this was hard . . .although I was not a fan of his style of knives . . I 'd say V from The movies V for Vendetta. (Spoiler alert)Surrounded by numerous men with guns . . knowing he'd die he stood Vigilant and confident telling them that after they were done shooting him that they would all die by his knives before they could reload . . . and they did . . in slooooow motion . . . yep that'll 'bout do it. One of the coolest scenes ever with or without knives.

3) I don't know if this counts . . I kept thinking of the movie Skrull, but it is not a knife . . .need help with this . . .guess I 'll say Riddick climbing a mountain with two knives slicing into it and puling himself up.

4)Riddick and the Lord Marshal. I know some might think this wasn't a good enough movie to make this, but just think, you have a an army surrounding you and their king with supernatural powers, the girl you care about dieing at your feet and with your last bleak opportunity you trust you knife into the head of Lord Marshall snap off the blade and finish him off with a knee to the face . .leaving you the new king of an empire.;)

5) Okay, yeah yeah yeah I am a Big fan of him but, again Riddick makes the cut with a scene from pitch black. With no weapon in sight he forms a rough yet razor sharp blade out of some sort of steel bar, sits out side in straight defiance of his orders not to carry "shivs" (knife) and spreads grease oil over his head and begins to shave his head . . with no mirror I might add . .I don't know . .coolest as in attitude as oppose to a "visual look".

6) Saving Private Ryan . .'nuff said.

Well, there you have it . .so tell me what you think.

Ohh and too late I already know too much Riddick.

1. Baddest mofos are Aaron Hallam and Beatrix Kiddo.

2. Best fight scenes are from the Hunted.

3. Best utility scenes, either John Rambo or Charles Morse.

4. Best death scene? I guess the final scene of the Hunted.

5. Best overal scene would be Crocodile Dundee, "That's a knife!"

1. Baddest Mofo's: Good - Jack Bauer on 24 (the baddest mofo to do alot of things); Bad - The knife throwin guy in Desperado :)

2. Best fight scene: Croc Dundee when he said, "That's not a knife... That's a knife!"

3. Best utility scene: Most recent episode of 24 when Jack Bauer got ahold of the control wires of the plane from the cargo hold!

4. Best death scene: Spartacus, when he killed his best friend to keep him from being crucified.

Can't think of a suitable answer for 5 or 6, so I'll abstain there. :)

It's all in the reflexes.

Best death scene would have to be from the Last Samurai (Tom Cruise damn near spoiled this movie for me)

Shin Koyamada (Nobutada) after being shot, crawls across the foot bridge and in order for his Father to escape, he stays behind, with both swords drawn he charges the Japanese soldiers who are armed with rifles and falls under a barrage of gun-fire. Great scene.

These are silly questions to ask, we all know who it is.
1. MACGYVER!
2. MacGyver!
3. Macgyver!
4. Death scene? I dont think MacGyver ever killed anyone with a knife, so the scene with the slow stabbing in saving private ryan.
5. MacGyrver!
6. MacGyver!

ROFL! No offense to anyone but this thread makes me think of the Star Trek: Next Generation episode "Hollow Pursuit."

Barclay: "You challenge the greatest sword ....

Riker: "....in all the holodeck."

You are the MAN! I'll second Planterz votes.

Bad mofo with knife: Hermes in the movie, "Exposure".

Fight scene, got to be thhe final fight scene in "The Hunted".

Death scene in, "Exposure" the killer guy takes out his stainless Spyderco Police and stabs the guy sleeping.
Another good death scence is in, "From Here to Eternity". When Monty Clift stabs Ernest Borgnine in the alley.

I'll have to think about the others.

I'm going with Planterz vote, but only if he posts the pic with Jeff Imada & the Butterfly Knife.

I think this is him.

Here he is showing Matt Damon how to fight.

The Harder they Come - Ivan Martin confronting his boss over the bicycle:

Ivan Martin: You want dead? I will kill you, clot! "Don't! . . . fuck! . . . wit! . . . me!" (while repeatedly slashing his boss's face with a knife)

(ok, so that pic isn't of that exact scene - but it's close

Way to go Planterz!

I already owned a Pacific Cutlery Butterfly when that movie came out. I probably lost a pint of blood after that playing around.

If you zoom in on the 2nd picture, you can see the butterfly.

1) That guy from the Silent Hill movie.

2) Under siege had a pretty good scene with tommy lee jones

3) Not sure

4) Not sure

5) Not sure

6) SPR

Hmm, for #1, what about either Jason Voorhees or Freddy Krueger? ;)

Jason for effective and efficient fixed-blade use
Freddy for working with multiple Hawkbill-style blades at the same time ;)

My meager contribution to this thread is from Aliens. Bishop, the android, places his hand over the marines and plays mumbly peg.
Awesome knife scene.

Wesley Snipes in the "Blades", Stallone in the "Rambos", Last Samurai, and Mick Dundee's famous "This is a Knife".
