Thank you for the compliments everyone.
Of course the praise goes to these fine makers;
Tony who has dedicated his life to bringing the traditional goodness of the old knives to a high form of craftsmanship, and to bringing some committed people with him!! And to one of those committed people his own self, Kerry. I am ever grateful to them both for choosing me for that stewardship Rick mentioned.
Actually, I heard there was a series of bets at the Works on how soon it would take me to find the Barlows in their first posting, and commence whining about how those knives were meant to cross my desk and get in my pocket!! I don't know who won the bets, but I feel like the winner!!:rolleyes:

I thoroughly enjoyed your write up and photos of these two Beauties! Well done! :thumbup:
Thank You for sharing...

They're beautiful knives. I guessed they were yours when I saw them posted in the Bose thread... probably a safe guess though. ;)

And praise to those makers for sure Charlie.
Charlie...when you order such a knife to be made.... how on earth do you get Bolsters made like that? ...did someone other than the makers actually make those beauties?...or did one or both of the Makers make their own Bolster to go on their own knife?
The reason I ask is because the knives are just beautiful, and those Bolsters just set those lovely made knives off!

Wow~! What a pair!!! Kerry has really come into his own. And Tony's work is looking stellar, as always. Beautiful set of Barlows you have there, and so cool that you've got one from each of those two illustrious cutlers. Congrats!

Amazing set Charlie! Congrats... Two great knives by two good
ole' guys! I love that old Utica bone, fits perfectly...

Jason

Thank you, Charlie and everyone, for the very kind words.

When Tony and I started making these we had no plan for who they would go to. We were just trying out some new "tricks" with the stamped bolsters and match-strike pulls and I bounced the idea off of Tony that these should go to Charlie. Charlie has been a very huge contributor to knifedom in general and specifically to us WilfredWorks guys with inspiration.

Charlie, you're the man! :thumbup::cool:

Well, your new "tricks" worked very well indeed, Kerry.
Practice on knives for me, anytime!!:rolleyes:

What's next??:eek:
