The Battle Grade is Coming!!!. . . The Battle Grade Is Coming!!!. . . Sneak Peek!

Nailed it.

I've always felt that INFI is reserved for choppers.

I love and have always preferred SR101 in smaller (6 inch and under) knives.

In fact, after owning over 50 Busse and kin, the only INFI I own are over 8 inches.

This is why I will be skipping the infimandu...

I cannot wait for this Ash.

Forgive my newbieness lol, but the SR 101 is really that tough ? I knew it gets really sharp and holds an edge very well.

I wouldn't mind seeing the comat grade come through with ceracoat single color. The ceracoat seems to be much smoother when applied verses the regular coatings, just my opinion.

Saw you had replied about sr101 being 90% of the performance of INFI. Don't know why it didnt post up in here ?

It has always seemed to me that because SR-101 is offered as a more affordable alternative and is in the shadow of the mighty "INFI" it is mistaken as not anything special... DEAD WRONG!
the "only" two steels that I have seen go through a whole chopping weekend and lose almost ZERO edge are infi and sr101.. it is VERY VERY TOUGH... I think it has a lot to do with Jerrys Heat treat..

I'd like to see medium sized (3-5") in SR101. Even EDC sized, smaller ones made from SR101. Any chance of having these?

Dan Busse told me personally at Blade Show last year that INFI made 2,300 cuts of 1" hemp rope in a public test years back, which was stopped when they ran out of rope to cut!! I asked where SR-101 ranking in this test, he said that while they haven't done this test with SR-101 it was a VERY close second to INFI given everything he's seen with it in actual use & testing….. :)

I've got to agree with Trailwolf that I don't start really perceiving much reason to go for Infi over SR-101 for anything less than a chopper, the SR-101 seems almost perfectly suited to thinner & shorter blades IMO.
