This one's for Thomas (or anyone else who knows):
I've been wanting a ZT 0350 for a long time, and I really like blade finishes that match the liners, so you can imagine I've been after the Knifeworks exclusive for awhile without any luck. Basically, when I do eventually own an 0350 and it ends up being a regular model, I was really hoping for a beadblasted blade.
I have a beadblasting cabinet at my home, and I was wondering if you would be allowed to tell me what operating pressure your beadblaster runs at to do your blade finishes, and what blasting medium do you use? My cabinet currently sprays aluminum oxide, which would make an extremely rough surface for a blade, and I would love to get the chance to be able to put that awesomely smooth beadblasted finish like Kershaw's that I am crazy about on some of my other knives in the future. I totally understand if you can't tell me the specs of how you do things, you don't want everybody copying your stuff. However if you can, i'd extremely appreciate it.
Best,
Trevor
