The Becker BK7 that is.
I got back from the dentist, and what was waiting for me?
This!
See how is dwarfs the D'Eskatracker.
Of course, to celebrate no cavities AND an awesome new knife, I had to go try it out.
Here are two geese I saw while waiting for the second bus, the one that takes me out of the city:
There sure is plenty of tall, annoying grass out there...let's cut it.
It cuts it pretty well, although lacks reach.
You can see how damn wet it is...my boot filled with plenty of marsh water while taking this picture:
The plants embrace its awesomeness; even the plant kingdom bows to Becker Knives:
It also looks pretty epic at times; here it is doing its "Sword in the Lake" impression:
And here you can see how I carry knives like this one:
Overall, it's pretty damned awesome!
It doesn't chop super well (neutral balance at handle-to-blade transition), but will make a handy hiking blade.
Once again I must thank Tdhurl1103 for the Winter Camping Contest generosity, as well as 1066vik for getting the ball rolling on it.
Very, very pleased with this knife; it will get decades of use for sure.
