The Becker BK7 that is. :)

I got back from the dentist, and what was waiting for me?
This!

See how is dwarfs the D'Eskatracker. :D

Of course, to celebrate no cavities AND an awesome new knife, I had to go try it out. :)
Here are two geese I saw while waiting for the second bus, the one that takes me out of the city:

There sure is plenty of tall, annoying grass out there...let's cut it. :)

It cuts it pretty well, although lacks reach.

You can see how damn wet it is...my boot filled with plenty of marsh water while taking this picture:

The plants embrace its awesomeness; even the plant kingdom bows to Becker Knives:

It also looks pretty epic at times; here it is doing its "Sword in the Lake" impression:

And here you can see how I carry knives like this one:

Overall, it's pretty damned awesome!
It doesn't chop super well (neutral balance at handle-to-blade transition), but will make a handy hiking blade.

Once again I must thank Tdhurl1103 for the Winter Camping Contest generosity, as well as 1066vik for getting the ball rolling on it.
Very, very pleased with this knife; it will get decades of use for sure.

Great pics!
Congrats on the win too!
How do you like the baldric style carry?
Does it flop around a bunch or does it stay fairly stable?

Baldric carry is great.
I don't bother with belt carry practically ever anymore.
It's fairly stable; not too floppy.

With heavier blades they'll tend to swing towards the front if you bend to pick things up and such, but still doesn't get in the way.

Glad you got it!!! I put a decal in there for you as well. I dig the bald tic setup. Have one for my 9.

I will likely put it on my computer, to increase its knifey goodness levels. :D

nice man, I dig the carry

It makes it so much more comfortable. :)

I had been rigging up paracord straps before; my Tracker has a braided one that looks cool.
But when my wife got a couple of these straps, I realized it would be way easier to just make a paracord loop to put through the belt loop, then attach with the clips.
Makes the length easy to adjust to, depending on style of sheath, and how bulky the clothing I am wearing is.

Nice pictures! Grats on the 7!

It's pretty sweet. :)

And the handle is surprisingly comfortable.
Last night I kept pestering my wife with "This handle is really comfortable. Hold the knife. Hold the knife. Come on, try holding it and see how comfortable it is!"

Finally see says "Okay, fine, I'll hold it."
Followed by "Wow, it really is comfortable! I didn't expect it to feel like that."

It's also very secure in the hand; no complaints there.

Congrats man. Always fun to get some fresh steel in.

 I did the same with my wife when I got my BK5. She now requests to use it in the kitchen from time to time hehe :D

Indeed. :)

Bk5 looks like it would work really well in the kitchen.
Maybe I can talk her into buying one...then I can grab it and run out to the woods with it! :D

Genius!

The 5 is an amazing slicer. Originally when I got one I thought the edge was really thin for a 'Magnum Camp Knife'. After chopping through some 2x4's and splitting some wood for a fire I was hooked. It could do all the things my thick knives could and preform with food prep. The smaller version 15 is the same.

Those two are on the radar for sure.

Congrats on the 7! Interesting carry. I'm pretty sure I've done this before although across the chest and under a jacket.

This goes across the chest as well.
I tried it with another knife under a jacket, and it worked well enough.

I threw in a 710 card just in case he decided on some new pants for it. Hehe

Yep, I noticed that.
Temptations to spend more cash! :D

I thought your full name was Stabman Stabalicious McStabtown? Plus, you didn't stab anything. Why the no stabby?
