The Beer Scout Knife

Those caplifters are really nice... very pretty wood on this one.. and the bone on the other one is "special"....

I have an old Queen electrician's knife that is similar to these... but it's a clip point main, with a long screwdriver type blade with caplifter... I got it mostly for the Winterbottom scales...

Yes... this was my first SAK, the Soldier. I'm way more impressed with it than I thought I'd be. Good heft, great feel in hand, and the blade takes a surprisingly good edge. Mine did yeoman's duty at my granddaughter's birthday bash a couple of weekends ago. Those plastic blister pacs are tough.

edit:.... and, being silver and "pretty" it didn't raise any eyebrows with the kiddies or mommies.

Paul, those are absolutely beautiful! Red sawcut remains one of my favorite cover materials. I usually avoid using "Grail" when talking about knives I desire, but either one of those variations you have pictured would certainly make the short list.

Blend the Diamond Radio Jack blade with the covers of the Soda Scout, thrown on the Beer Scout Shield and you get the blood red spear point Beer Scout. Thanks again Paul for posting your two beauties.

Let me bring this thread back to page one where it belongs! The Beer Scout is the knife that ignited my interest in GEC. It is still the knife that gives me the most lift to my step when it is in my pocket. What is it about this knife that makes you feel so good?! Let’s keep this thread going!

Yep- beauties for sure. Saw cut scout cap lifter is on my grail/to get list almost with the chestnut sawcut beer scout and smooth white bone beer scout.
