Looks good enough to make me hungry! Being bred on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, I really do appreciate seafood done well. Particularly the kind you have to peel to eat.:D

By co-incidence, I'm working my way through some James Lee Burke novels with the main character of Detective Dave Robicheaux and adventures in 'who done it's' around the seamy underside of New Orleans. It seems like a crawfish boil is a major past time down there. Kind of like summer crab feasts up here.

Captain Call did you forget to ring the dinner bell? WOW, that looks good. I have to say that I have never been a fan of the lady legs but you put them in a different perspective, I like it.

Have a great day,
Jeff

Well Woodrow, save me a seat at the table. I've picked crabs, shucked oysters, baked clams, and skinned an eel or two. I don't think I'm gonna have a problem with crawdads. Texas may have to wait a bit. :D

Mmmmm, your makin me hungry with them pics!
Thirsty too:eek:
I might have to check out one o them lady leg knives...

Captain Call did you forget to ring the dinner bell?

It was Bolivar's job to ring that bell. We had him quit whackin' that dinner bell for supper. A man with any sense at all can tell when it's sundown and therefore supper, without whackin' that bell.

At first glance, it looked to me like you had a Beverage Refrigerator outdoors with you on a wooden frame over grass.

I thought, "Now, there's dedication."

:D

Heh, heh. I have a big shop and a little shop. The beer fridge is in the little shop. Those tiles are deceiving. :D

You are more than welcome. If you do make it this way, we'll eat good that's for sure. We actually took the easy way out tonight. We went to the seafood market where you can get it fresh raw or cooked. This place about has a permanent traffic cop because it's so busy.

The food here is great, and I'm about an hour for New Orleans where the food is even better. If there is anything to love about South Louisiana, it's the food. :)

So, how does the heel work as a bottle opener?

Well, honestly.... it could be better. It tends to pull up a small section of the top so it takes 2-3 pulls to get one off. If the top is stiffer, it tends to pull up with fewer pulls. My SAK actually does a little better job... Which is kind of weird since it isn't as wide.

That thread title alone is a great read. Looks like a great night Woodrow. Laissez les bon temps roulez! :)

Is that Abita Jockimo IPA in that second pic? One of my favorite beers.

Yes it is. Product of Abita Springs, LA. My faves from them are their Oyster Stout and Andy Gator.

Some leftover shrimp, taters, salt, pepper, butter, cheddar, green onion, shrimp boil seasoning..... Breakfast!
