The benefits of the Leg knife in South Louisiana.

You are a lucky man! I haven't had an Abita in years, though the Zippo I got from them has pride of place in my beer lighters collection, right in between a Guinness I got from Ireland, and a Yuengling Porter I picked up at the brewery.

Eating crawdads is on my bucket list. I have yet to meet an undersea crawly that I didn't like, and I think I could eat a whole mess of 'em. As Smithammer says,I'd probably eat myself into a coma and love every second of it. In fact I pretty much did it last night when my wife took me to a hibachi place as an after birthday gift. Shrimp, scallops and a filet mignon so buttery smooth I barely had to chew...and all that sake...how much did I drink? :D

And I carried my new Schatt baby sunfish too, another sweetheart of a knife from Titusville

I wonder if the crawdads there taste just like the ones in the rivers here in Oregon? Some of my best childhood memories are of camping with my parents and snorkeling with my dad and filling the bucket up with crawdads then my mom would cook them up. We dipped the tail meat in some kind of butter sauce it was dang good! Great pictures thank you for sharing! I still can't stand the leg knives lol ;) but I have to get me one of those Outlaw Jacks. Looks like a great pattern and I can't stop looking at the Yellow Bone version of it.

Well, crawfish are freshwater creatures. If you ever head this way, let me know. I'll try to hook you up with some good eatin. There is a technique to pealing them. If you do it wrong, it's a whole lot of work to get the meat. It's easy to do wrong.

Last time I was down there, we spent a night at the Woodland Plantation south of NOLA (the plantation that is one the Southern Comfort label). I ate so many fresh oysters I thought I was going to turn into one. They were each as big as my fist, with a little lemon and Tabasco on top...oh man, I need to get back down there!!
