I recieved a small package the day after Christmas. In the package was my 13-year old son's new Koster Bushcraft knife. I am very jealous, this is one very fine knife. The blade came razor sharp, the back of the blade throws a huge amount of sparks from a firesteel, and I love the natural micarta handle which is grippy, comfortable, and easy to hold. My favorite thing is the finish on the blade. I really like it. Dan Koster really has a winner with this

I'm so glad that pictures of these are starting to turn up. Nothing but praise has been heard! Lucky son, good job!

I went to his site to check these out but don't see it?
Can you give details of the blade? Thanks

thumbramp on top.
Handle = Natural or Green Canvas Micarta

Can't wait to get mine...should be here soon. BTW, those are the best pics I've seen of it yet...thanks for sharing.

Great pics. I have a feeling there is going to be about 150 threads with gracious pics shared over the next few months.

Look forward to them all.

The pre-order run was $95 for the knife and $35 for the sheath. Dan has stated that the 150 or so that he is doing at this price (all spoken for) are it and the price for the regular orders are going to be higher. How much higher? I don't know He hasn't stated yet.

I got one also, and I'm TOTALY impressed!!!!

That's really a beautiful knife, it's so simple and straightforward that it is actually elegant. :)

I love mine and will tell you it's worth more than what I paid. $95 for this? Are you kidding? I haven't got to use this one hard yet so I'm speculating....but I'll bet this was the best bargain of my knife buying career. $35 for a top notch leather sheath as well? I grin every time I pick it up. Even if the next run is a little more....pick one up. I know I probably will for my oldest son (13).

This thread isn't helping me at all. I'm so anxious to get mine! You are making me jealous guys.

Beautiful knives! Put 'em to good use!
