RWS's Wife here:
I saw the topic of this thread and had to say something...
As a female and the fact that I really like to have a knife handy I have gone through my fair share of key chain kives. As I get older, they get better.
In high school I had a cheap little Tekna. Then I moved up to a Victorinox Tinker which I still adore and have put safely away in a box as it was the first knife Mike ever gave me (way back when we were "just friends").
Later on I used a Blackie Collins Buddy System. I found out those are not very "public friendly" and almost had a bit of trouble in the office where I worked because I refused to take it off my keychain. I referred to it as my letter opener and finger-nail cleaner till the bosses relented.
Recently Mike found a cute little Spyderco Lady Bug with carbon fiber handles for me. As I like to be able to detach my knife from the mass of keys that I usually have on the chain, he had our favorite Local knife distributor make a kydex sheath with matching carbon fiber design on it for the Bug to sit snugly in and be ready to use. I absolutely love the whole set up. The Lady Bug is small enough to not cause an uproar in the office and big enough to handle most any task I put it to. (Then if that doesn't work I can use one of my Benchmades then after that I'll just call Mikey to bring a bigger knife.
The lady bug and sheath is absolutely wonderful and if any of you guys are looking for an every-day type of carry idea for your lady and she isn't the type to have a large folder as an EDC, I highly recommend the ladybug (or other smaller type) with the sheath that attaches to the keychain. Mike says the sheath would work on a neck carry as he uses that style for his minni dyad, but I'm not a great fan of neck knives unless I'm hiking.
BTW, the Al-Mar is beautiful!!
*very big grin* (& hint to Mike)
