THe best knife for me would be?

A Himalayan Imports JKM-1. Go check them out at their website. A Frosts of Sweden Mora knife would be good to. Any scandanavian syle pukko would be great. Check out what Ragnor has at the Ragweed Forge website. Not computer savy enough to provide links myself.

If looking for a small fixed with ease of carry, you might want to consider the MicroTech Medallion. At first I thought the handle being too small would be a problem, but with a lanyard attached, it still fits great, and it has a nifty mini Tek-lok that can mount the knife horizontally on your belt. With your shirt untucked, it is invisible. The sheath is great: easy in, easy out. It can even be used as a neck knife, with very thin cross-section. My first and only fixed blade, and it's with me almost every day. Try to find a used one for around $50, or get a good deal on the internet for around $70.

As far as fixed blades go then, I would also suggest the Nimravus Cub is either ATS-34 or M2. I like how the handle fills the hand and how useful the blade is. The BT isn't that bad IMO. I've had several BT coated knives and they've held up just fine. If you don't mind a scratch here and there, the BT is the way to go.
Good luck,
Matt

I love the Looks of the cub but i have one problem, price, its way out of my price range for now and the dangler looks best at this point in time. many more sugestions are welcome. ;)

Check out the Loveless style drop point hunter Marbles makes. It is about your size and pretty close to your price range. You should still be able to find one in 52100 if you look around.

Nothing cuts like a Marbles, at least in production knives, IMHO.

After looking from knife to knife I have come back again and again to the Greco Dangler, I believe this is what I like best out of the bunch. One question how durable is the finish on the knife? over all it seams to fit my needs best along with my price range:cool:

I like the Spyderco Morans, trailing point and drop point.

I carry mine daily.

Good Steel.

Ergo Grip.

Lightweight.

Excellent Sheath.

Excellent Sheath Options, can be modified for IWB with a IWB strap from Blade-Tech.

Two Blade Styles to choose from or buy both, like I did.

Will, please email me. I have some suggestions for you that you might like :)

Mate, Look at the small knives that Bob Dozier makes. While
they are a bit more money than you want to spend ,just a bit,
you can have it made your way and you will have to go a very
very long way to find a better small cuttin' utlity knife for every
day.

If you don't find exactly what you want Bob will make it for you at
little , if any, extra charge. Bob & Linda (his wife) are first rate
folk's to deal with too. If you want a knife that out cuts 99% of other
knives and will last your lifetime check his site.:D :D

Good luck mate :D

Just remember " A bit more money at the start often saves much more later"

Will, the Dangler black finish is extremely durable. I have been using mine for over a week and have no noticeable wear\scratches etc.
John Greco is known for the durability of his finishes.
