:grumpy: I wouldn't recommend thebladeshop, they don't show if items are instock which might lead to a long wait, for example on 7-28-08 I placed an order for a D2 para-military, long story short it is still not here.

I ordered an RC-4 with leather sheath form Derrick last week, in part to support Jeff et al. in his litigation against OKC and partly because I wanted something "just a little bit larger" than the RC-3 that I keep in my bug-out-bag. Shipping to Canada was only five bucks extra. That's a third to a quarter of what I've been paying. The leather sheath is the best that I've ever seen. It was worth it just to get the sheath. (I know, I could have just ordered the sheath for my RC-3. My still do that!). Thank you Derrick for the excellent service. Thank you Jeff for a most excellent product!

P.S. For you Canadian knife buyers, stay away from UPS if you can. They charge too much for brokerage fees!!! For example, some material from K&G Supplies (a buffer wheel, a bar of brass and some exotic wood for handles for a project that I'm working on). Total value of the order was less than $100. Brokerage fees were $43.59. I just about shit myself!

What--if any?--was the duty you paid to Canada Customs, if you don't mind me asking? I realize that even with getting something shipped USPostal/Canada Post you some times still have to pay the (bloody) duty.
I'm also thinking of getting an RC-4, but my budget is soo tight.
