Ok all you historical Khuk fans. I'm finishing up the model of Berks 23" lightning fast Dui Chirra and should have it out to Uncle either Monday or Tuesday, Along with the original for Pala to inspect and compare to the copy. I'm tellin you by the time Bura gets done with an HI version its going to be a top seller. This design Handles like a dream. and faster than anything I've seen that size. fantastic for a design thats well over 100 years old . Stay tuned for this one. Berk will get the first copy of course and I'm sure Uncle will post pics now that he has a sandisk working. Cant wait to get one myself as soon as funds come available

That would be cool. I bet Berk already has a name picked out for it though

Berk says this thing was designed for decapitation and vivisection.(wonder if I spelled that right ?)

I have asked Uncle to request that Bura make the first one with silver bolster and brown leather sash-style sheath; karda and chakma of forked antlers like JP's classic styles. Uncle has indicated that several of my design details may be hard, if not impossible, to fulfill. So it goes - Nepal Ho!. But I am hoping for perfection:D !

What more could you ask for??? It'll do everything needed to handle *any* situation (or. ... no problem cannot be solved with the right amount of whacks from a khukhri).

I can see it now. Bura scratching his head and asking, "Why do they want some old outdated model like this? They are all crazy. I'd better update this version and send them an improved model."

I may even be tempted by a close reproduction of Berk's old Dui Chiarra.:)
Foxy did you happen to get the weight of this old warrior?
If its weight has already been posted I have forgotten what it was.

I see Bro's giving a lot of encouragement on the reproduction's outcome the same as he did with the Cherokee Rose.:p  ;)

Although Bro may be spot on with the detail of the cho creep.

I didnt get the weight of Berks Dui Chirra, but its not super heavy. Made for speed and swift slicing. I'm sending the copy and the original to Uncle tomorrow. I'm sure they will weight and catalog it for Pala so they can have as much exacting info as possible for the repro.

If anyone wants pixof the horn-handled kardas I'm trying to duplicate, please email me. The file is too large to post on BF.:barf: Gold Membership, Yay!:barf:

John Powell sent me pix -- beautiful old pieces. I'll print and send with Pala. I know what the kamis will say. "Why would anybody want worn out, rusty old $hit like this with old moldy horn handles? We'll make them new and improved models!"

Berks Big Dui Chirra and fiberglass copy are now in the mail to Uncle. I hope it goes well with Pala

Foxy ... you make me nervous! How it looks like? Is there any pict?

Pakcik Bill ... help me ... have you started registering takers' name?

HIKV again!

Uncle, I think you have another taker on the Dui Chirra.

Perhaps Unlce can shoot some pics with his cantankerous dc

I think Berk posted a pix of this knife somewhere but I don't know where. I'll get a couple of pix of it and the model and post them -- maybe.
