I know it might just be paranoia but does anyone else get the feeling that Operation two weeks is the big finale? I haven't had too much interest in Busse knives until lately, so maybe this sort of thing has happened before and I am just not aware. It just seems odd to me that I checked the website for a long time and there were always the same knives..... Now we get piles and piles of new knives in short runs..... It kinda feels like I showed up in time to watch the last part of a fireworks show. Anyone else concerned this might be the end?

Never even gave it a thought, NO worries here at all :D:D

Doesn't seem like an end to me but more of an expansion. To grow sometimes marketing has to change some.

Nah, Jerry's just doing his part to improve this nation's economy in his area of expertise.. :D

Possible, but unlikely given the increased market share that Busse/Bussekin knives appeal to. Military, Police, and other undisclosed major high volume customers haven't gone away. So if high volume purchasing customers are still coming and with a broader market share (due to increased limited run production, reduced pricing, social media advertisement, etc.), I can't think of a good reason to closeup shop. Just my assessment.

Rather, "Operation 2 Weeks" is likely a planned effort to change things up, add more excitement, add more value/recognition to the brand, and prop up the secondary market. Although I've seen prices come down a bunch in general, this is probably temporary. As long as INFI knives are considerably less common that SR-101 knives, the value should at the least stagnate, if not rise more. This is all assuming that demand for INFI stays constant and/or grows. More than anything, it's Jerry's very clever way of using limited production run releases as a way of generating more interest, more fun, and more $$$$$$$$$

It has definitely added excitement, that is for sure. I ordered my first and second new Busse due to Operation Two weeks.... And from the sounds of it maybe my third as of tomorrow.

no... his family blood is in the business now.. Im sure he has more drive to make it succeed than ever. I think his style of having his blades become instant classics and "hard to come by" has created a kind of halo over his product.. there is a sense of urgency to buy when you see a Busse available. That's super powerful from a marketing standpoint...and special when you consider that all his blades are something unique.. this "operation two weeks" just adds that much more urgency... and the blades are that much more unique.. I think its brilliant!!

I have noticed secondary market demand and prices have gone down with several makers. Economy I guess. I couldn't figure out what was going on at Blade this past year. The crowds and scrambling to get blades seemed to me to be down across the entire show. I am sure it will get better,at least I hope it does. We can't stand for it to get worse. As for myself,I am clearing the same amount on my pay checks now as I was 8 years ago.

Doesn't Jerry have a history of being unpredictable? Which knives are you thinking you need to pick up before it does under, if you're correct?

Zero

No way. But there hasn't been such a good time to be a Piglet in a long, long time!!!

Jerry figured out the riddle of sr-101. Put a Busse logo on it and they will sell like hotcakes!

Extreme Performance at a non extreme price!

I've bought 10 battle grades and 1 combat grade so far...do the math.

I placed my first order with the shop in February 2014 for a ASHBM. Since then up until Operation Two Weeks, the offerings have been pretty stale (ganzaas excepted). I think two weeks was a way to shake things up a bit-I'm sure Garth and Beef get bored of the same blades month after month. Hopefully we'll see a new line of knives come out soon.

I know it, I'm already feeling it..... Hopefully tomorrow I can stay strong...

To be honest I'm not sure. I didn't know I needed a SHe2 or a D-guard Battle Mistress.....or a "Boom parang"....I do know I NEED a Battle Pappy.

Op'n 2 Weeks is as radical a change of SOP as I've seen in the decade I've been scanning/participating this site. My concern is that at this pace Jerry sprints thru what would have been years of new releases in mere months. How quickly will we: acclimate to the new rate and expect it?; run out of "disposable income" and become spectators and/or critics/trolls?; become disappointed when Jerry inevitably runs out of sufficiently new/different models/variations? I suspect that Jerry will amaze us for much longer that most mortals but it is one thing to allow an artist to create at his own pace. It is quite another to promise masterworks on schedule. I fear that Jerry intends to offer many fine blades when he could offer fewer, truly great ones. A relatively minor quibble but, for some reason, a concern of mine none the less.
Pete
