The Birch Knob Polar Drop!!! Yowza!!!!

You must search for the payload if you desire to find a PVC tube. :)

RV,

Can you give a short discription of where and how you found this knife. No need to go into any trade secrets or anything, but it would be interesting to see how the clues/directions matched up with what you actually found in the field. Was it in a random remote location, or was some prominate feature there to pin-point the location. Did you use a metal detector? How deep was it? Did you rent a back-hoe or was a simple shovel good enough? Any good stories about being run off private land or law enforcement chasing you around for digging holes in public land, etc.

Thanks in advance if you do take the time.

Dig on on snout-nosed friend!

Island? Outside of Savannah maybe????

I've got a buddy down there. Maybe I'll send him on some wild goose chasing.

Back in the day I used to bury knives in PVC tubes all over the United States!

Drew found the one I buried in Minnesota after a number of trips to Birch Knob!

There are still huge payloads in pretty much every state in the union!:cool::thumbsup:

At least another 50+ blades are waiting out there for some lucky HOG with an INFI detector!:eek::cool::cool:

Unfortunately the master map was lost in a drunken stupor.o_O:confused:

Let's Drink!!!

clues for the Utah one ?

I would love the clues for TN, Bama and GA?

Especially if they are all near Chattanooga!!

Here ya go!

Go to the west side of Bryce Canyon. Turn around and face the east. Wait for the sun to rise. Right at the moment that the sunlight hits you in the face (assuming that you're 6'2" like me) you'll see what appears to be a tall red rock formation directly in front of you. Walk straight into the canyon exactly 250 yards and stop! Turn around and go back 72 yards . There you'll see a tall red rock formation. Turn right and walk on your tip-toes 21 feet 3". Sit down and wait for the sun to rise in the sky until it is 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:00pm you will see a large red rock formation to your right. Turn around 3 times really fast and head north 130 yards. There you will see a large red rock formation. Dig a hole behind it approx. 43 1/2" deep. Score!!!!!

Don't forget to post pics!

17 1/2 years ago......I dug up this piece of Busse ATS-34 history.

Have any of the other payloads been found?

Oinkover!! Where ya been?

I was able to get Jerry to sketch a map of the WV location when we were drinking at Blade 2007. Made one unsuccessful digging trip.

What happened to the last dog tag that Amy hid in a concert parking lot?

I'm hoping the Florida one is down south! ATS-34 is one of the Busse blade steels I have not yet experienced.

Dang! I wish I knew where any of them near me might be. NJ, PA, DE, NY. I already own a decent metal detector that I’ve used down the shore.

That’s super cool and sounds like a lot of fun!
