The black remoras: what's the story with those?

Second one up from the bottom right?

Yeah, that is the progression of the necker. The top knife was his inspiration, and then the design kinda went from there until it became the BK11 we all know and love. Ethan had several of those prototypes made. They are fine little knives. I need another so I can have one to use.

third from the bottom is the best. i drool over that. id love to have one especially with a convex sabre

Clich, that looks like the offspring of the bk2 before he grows up and becomes a monsterkiller

Guyon... always showing off :P.

I think the second one from the top looks excellent as well. And I would love to at some point hear why the changes happened between each proto.

they be good stuff, good reward for the hard hard hard work of dealing with the rabble:

at the time, this represented all the different variants, now we have the BK14, but that's a LITTLE different in some ways...

I have always loved the simplicity in the design of the remoras handle and can imaging it's nice and comfy on a little larger of a knife, it's really a shame they never made it into production, I pick one up in a heart beat! I suppose I know this answer even before asking but what are the chances we would ever see them in production? Such an attractive little knife, but thats just my two cents. Thanks for the pics guys always love seeing them!

IMO it would have been a much better choice than the current sized offering....

Great photos, thanks for sharing....

Hmmm...the more slender profile of the blade on the proto-Remora is very appealing.

I've been loving my Remora since I picked one up about 7 weeks ago.
It came in real handy for fusing up this (Bonfire) season:

(Fed the cord through the back hole since photo)

I love the way I can get it 'singing' sharp.

Oops...sorry to derail slightly.

Okay what's the story on the 2nd from the top? I love that one. Nice curve for the hand and a great place for the thumb. That would be in my pocket if it were available.
