Guys give this brotha your business!!

Wow. Very cool job with that work. I will most definately be in contact when mine arrive. Maybe I should just have mine shipped to you from the store :D very cool! reminiscent of a Lee Williams

FWIW, it's not easy for a maker to come up with a new folder design and one that will go classic to boot. Especially, a kwaiken that folds! Luc, I believe, has done it. WTG Lucas Burnley.

Is this really some new design though?

CRKT had the Hissatsu, and Heiho assisted knives out for some time now.

Very similar design in many respects.

Just sayin........

Yes, I would say it's a new design. The straight handle sets this one apart.

There is alot of similarities though......

I do like this design much better, but it is too large for my liking, and not liking the AUS8 at that price.

ml- Give it a try.
I have owned folders that appeared to be too big initially but then kinda shrunk a little.

fwiw...I think this folder is an absolute winner.Yeah the price point is kinda high for AUS8, but once its in hand you forget about price. Its now my official favorite knife I own!

Thanks TLU.
I bet I go this way. I have been waiting for a traditional-like Japanese style folder for a long time.

Not really. Williams designed the Hissatsu and Heiho specifically with an osoraku zukuri blade that has a clear yokote demarcation between the kissaki and the machi. The burnley kwaiken is definitely not osoraku, more a hira/shobu/kanmuri styled blade with a full length sweeping blade and no yokote.

I own both the hissatsu and the heiho, and have the boker burnley coming this weekend. I'm not particularly fond of the larger hissatsu because the handle has to be extra wide to accommodate the assisted opening spring and thus looks awkward relative to the sleek blade. The heiho is a bit better proportioned but still a little "off". The Burnley looks sweet because it can be so compact.
