Bigger knives - full choil
Small knives - no choil
Can anybody explain to me why ANY manufacturer makes an elf choil? Please don't say "it's for notching".
I have a much harder time coming up with reasons for having a choil then I do for not having one. Some reasons for having them:
- "looks better" (preference)
- edge wears evenly reducing thinning at the ricasso, and eventual localized wear
- you can put your finger in it for "fine control"
- lashing point?
Absolutely amazing "D" I can picture you salivating on your next "hunt"the big-choil PROTO is the deal - making a user out of that very knife would be great.
