The BOSS Jack Is Comin' To Knob Creek!!!!!!!!

Bigger knives - full choil
Small knives - no choil

Can anybody explain to me why ANY manufacturer makes an elf choil? Please don't say "it's for notching".

I have a much harder time coming up with reasons for having a choil then I do for not having one. Some reasons for having them:
- "looks better" (preference)
- edge wears evenly reducing thinning at the ricasso, and eventual localized wear
- you can put your finger in it for "fine control"

- lashing point?

Only reason "I" ever want one is for choking up on the blade for finer, more detailed work.

+1 large choil. :eek::eek:

what a bummer to miss this now! waiting two weeks for a potential release?? NOOOOOOOOO!!
:(:(

I would like to see a comparison to the Gen 2 Kabar. They look to be of similar size and shape but I'm a novice. I've found a very nice custom Kabar sheath and I'm curious if this would fit.

the big-choil PROTO is the deal - making a user out of that very knife would be great.

Anybody have a ballpark idea of what these are gonna cost?
Sure wish I could make it to Ky this weekend. Anybody know when and where the next major show is?...at least one where Busse will attend?

I'd guess around $317 and Busse Combat Knives will be in Atlanta at the Blade Show in early June.
