"The Bringer" & C-Tek Handle Material

Hey Brad,
You started with one of the more complicated steels to Heat Treat, If you are going to go with CPM154 you will most likely be sending it out to be heat treated by one of the companies like Peter's Heat Treat or Bos. The "Wavy Line" you are referring to is called a Hamon and you can find all the info you could wish for in a search here on BF. You are correct on the Mosaic pins in that you do not hammer them they are epoxied in as well as the scales to the tang. I would not call them "Aesthetic" they add greatly to the shear strength and are extremely hard to remove if you have too. Hope this helps

Seems like the makers have placed this on the market without completing a quality product. Good that they will replace the pieces but not good that the problems exist. Frank

Beautiful knife.

Personally I don't care for the honey comb, it looks like chicken wire to me.

Quint I will let you know in a couple of years, Either way I will repair or replace them if it is an issue. I personally don't think it will be.

RyanW how is that C-TEK Handle material holding up? Any reports on the resin falling out of the honeycomb?
