The burden of being the second poster....and other stuff

Good old Col. Wrecks Applegate...ayup.
I have one of his combat knives, and it's no good.

The blade is blunt as heck, and when I try to sharpen it, I get a black rubbery dust on the sandpaper.

Ad Astra :foot:

Dan, I think I get this... Do you mean:

1st post: "What is nicer looking, an 18" Ang Khola or a 17.5" BGRS?"

Whichever one the second poster says will be the "correct" answer for the thread with most people agreeing with that opinion and dissenting opinions being treated as "wrong"...

Enabling is wrong on so many levels.

Enabling cannot stand on its own. you must be enabling some behavior, I think it would be helpful to know what that behavior is, or in other words what are we trying NOT to enable.

I always try hard to enable Bruise...I laugh out loud at his stuff.

I figure some cosmic particles of good will eventually work their way back to him and will encourage him to write more.

Everyone likes Bruise. Even Bruise likes Bruise, but is careful not to like too much or he won't be Bruise anymore.

Like many of the people around here, a blessing to us all. A good thing to have around.

Some people come, and some people leave, and some stay in HI forum. I wish there was a magic way "I" could exercise control and keep the Great One's here, but than "I" would not be "I" but an idiot, and still couldn't change one darn thing.

There's a lot of voices I miss on HI forum, I wish were here. But new hearts come.

Is this not the way life is?

Why Bruise is still here amusing us and himself, growing along with this wonderful event is beyond me. But he is, as is Nasty and Aardvark and Archangel and 45/70 and so many others. ( I don't have to list everone, do I?)

I don't know anyone is here 'forever'. I doubt I'll be a moderator 'forever', one way or another. I can't guarentee one solitary thing.

We are all just Bozos on this Bus, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Think one day I can ride someplace except the back of the bus?

And for a second, I thought I saw "Brazos" and was expecting a statement about the value of life out there. Oh, well. ;) :D

I don't think that ball peen would do it, perhaps a nice crispy Foxy Folly or my personal favorite the Ganga Ram!

Sorry, guys....didn't have anybody in particular in mind when I posted this thread.

Just have read a lot of threads on several different forums lately and have noticed certain "trends". :D

somehow I knew instinctively that munk would be the "second poster" second poster. :p

Simply good odds...munk is very active in contributing to the forum after all. Could as likely have been Ad Astra...Steve...Bruise...heck...even me. I think instinct is often justified after the fact...rarely recorded before an event actually happens. Sor tof like the second poster thing...folks simply have a habit of saying "I knew he was going to say that".

The Gnomes are what you really need to be watchful for.
They travel in packs, and are more ill-tempered than most people realize.

Nondescript?

I beg to differ. Familiarity warms one to them.

"To Gnome is to luv 'em."
